Filing Requirements

  • Power of attorney, legalized up to the Sudanese Consulate (a general POA will be acceptable).
  • Certificate of Incorporation, legalized up to the Sudanese Consulate. (Along its sworn Arabic translation).
  • Commercial Register –Legalized up to the Sudanese Consulate (along its sworn Arabic translation).
  • Certified copy of the registration certificate of each trademark to be recorded. (could be prepared at our end)
  • Copy of the Import Certificate for each trademark. The Ministry of Economy and Trade in Sudan usually issue it to the local agent/distributer. (If there is a local distributor)
  • Certificate of Origin of the product – Legalized up to the Sudanese Consulate (specific for each trademark).
  • List of countries where the product is being manufactured (specific for each trademark).
  • ·Clear A4 sized photos of the authentic product from different sides and photos of the inside of the boxes, and specify, if these capsules, tables, syrups, injections……or any other kinds of products…. (Specific for each trademark).
  • An electronic presentation (CD) of the original products to aid the Customs officials in detecting counterfeit products and differentiating them from the originals. (Specific for each trademark).
  • All these documents should be available at the time of filing the applications at the customs authorities.
